Martin Abega Exhibition: Tradition Reimagined for Modern Markets

Cameroonian photographer and artist Martin Abega has launched “Les Marques du Divin” at the Gondwana African Art Gallery in Marseille France and doors are set to be open till October 31 2025. The exhibition reinterprets traditional masks and spiritual motifs through contemporary photography. Abega’s work is attracting attention from collectors and galleries across Africa and Europe, highlighting a growing market for African art that blends heritage with modern aesthetics.

The exhibition also includes workshops and limited edition prints, creating revenue streams for the artist and supporting the broader creative economy. It’s a model where cultural preservation intersects with commercial sustainability.
